In the Press
The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion is proud to be featured in local and national publications. Currently, the Mansion is featured in a 15-page article in the February 2010 issue of Victorian Homes magazine.
The idea to feature the Mansion in Victorian Homes actually came from letters from readers of the magazine. According to Jennifer Meyers, editor-at-large, Victorian Homes magazine, “I can't tell you how many postcards I received from readers requesting to see this beautifully restored home on our pages. I am very happy to oblige.”
Franklin & Esther Schmidt, 20-year field editors for Victorian Homes commented, “We have photographed Victorian houses throughout the United States. The Stegmaier Mansion is among the most historically appropriate, creative and elegantly decorated houses that we have visited. Beyond that, as a bed and breakfast, the ambiance, service and hospitality are, hands down, the most gracious we have experienced.”
A second article focusing on Joe Matteo's creation of the intricate wallpapered ceilings throughout the Mansion will be released by Victorian Homes later in 2010.
