If you are making reservations for your first night together, be sure to ask for details of our Honeymoon Memories package. If you would like to reserve more than one night, please inquire about our Victorian Romance Weekend. Should you wish to extend your stay even further, might we suggest our "Two Plus" offer? Spend two nights with us and receive a third night at 50% discount.
Additionally, we are proud to offer guided tour packages for those who wish to learn about the rich and colorful history that surrounds the Mansion. Come experience the legacy that was begun in 1857 when Charles Stegmaier began brewing beer in America. Learn how “Stegmaier Gold Medal Beer” earned its name as you enjoy a tasting of that very same beer which is being brewed here today in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at the Lion Brewery.
From the moment you walk through the massive entrance doors of the Mansion, you will instantly be transported back in time not only by opulent surroundings, but also by your guide Lisa Lewis. Known as Victoriana Lady, Lisa enjoys bringing fashion, history and Victorian lifestyle alive using antique clothing, accessories and artifacts from 1870 to 1920. As you follow Lisa through the winding halls of the Mansion, you will marvel at how truly “authentic” your experience has become!
Next you are led to the kitchen where you will be greeted by Mary Louise Hepner, Executive Chef and Chocolatier. Learn of the mystique which surrounded operating a Victorian kitchen of yesterday and the responsibilities of the cook and her staff. Then, for a sumptuous ending, experience sheer confectionary magic as you partake in a sampling of gourmet hand rolled truffles prepared on site by Ah! Some Chocolates. Your palate will never be the same.
The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion can accommodate small groups or large bus tours. Reservations must be made in advance. Please allow ample lead time when booking “Christmas at the Mansion” holiday tours.
